Red Fern
This gorgeous piece features a single sword fern frond set against a unique varigated iron red background. To achieve the background color, I brushed on soil from Burrows Road - a location just outside Ocean Shores, Washington. The form, color and imagery make this the perfect vase to display natural cuttings such as pussy willows, cattails or grasses.
