A very rustic little box that really captures the character of the primitive firing process. This is the first piece that I have created using sand from the beaches of Ocean Shores, Washington for surface texture. The sand's high iron content gives rich brown and black tones. Deep fern prints complete the rough, natural look. Plenty of soda scars and surface pitting make this one as wonderful to touch as it is to look at.
